Blog 4 - Education

Education in Chile has been sold. We can not compare, simply the conditions are very different, while in a course there is a teacher with 45 students (even sometimes there are more) in private college there are 2 teachers with a maximum of 20 students per room, clearly a student of a private school has greater learning opportunities.

That education is like this develops a cycle within Chilean society:

-Very few public school students make it to college and most of them if they don't have state aid then they must work and study.

I want to clarify that those who choose not to continue studying, and choose to work is not helpless.I just want to emphasize that the conditions are different and should not be so regardless of the social group to which you belong, education must be the same for all.

A teacher once at the school told us: "Now your parents must choose, if they pay for a private school, will have good foundations to get to university with scholarships or be in a public school  and that you pay a university career because they will not give you scholarships with that performance"

We know that what he said is not a lie. so does that seem fair to you? Tell me :) good week.

  1. I agree with you, Chilean education should be equitable for all and not for privileged people ;(
